Westside Peaceful Conflict De-escalation Training

Indivisible Hillsboro is hosting a free Conflict Deescalation Training facilitated by the Portland Peace Team. This will take place on Sunday, March 22nd from 1-4pm at the UCC church, 494 E. Main St. in Hillsboro. Attendance is limited, so please RSVP to reserve a spot.

This is a free training for anyone who is interested in learning how to deescalate potentially volatile situations. This training is based on CLARA, which was developed by Bonnie Tinker and Cecil Prescod of Love Makes A Family in 1992 and is now used throughout the world by a wide variety of peacekeeping organizations, such as the Nonviolent Peaceforce and the American Friends Service Committee.

We recommend you watch this short (11:26) YouTube video, Finding Confidence in Conflict by Kwame Christian, in preparation for the training. The video is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6Zg65eK9XUA

There will NOT be a blended Zoom option. This location is ADA accessible.

If we reach capacity, we will let you know and you will be added to a waitlist.
